Sally Hansen Salon Effects - Laced Up #360

I am in love with my nails yay!!! I have always wanted a delicate black lace pattern on my nails, SH Salon Effects in Laced Up is The One! ;)

It comes with 16 strips, I used up all the smaller ones cause my fingers are quite slender. Actually some of them were too big for my nails, I had to cut the strip smaller until it fits. You can also stretch the strips out a little bit, which I had to do for my pinky lol Just have to be very gentle, cause I ripped one of them x.x good thing i managed to use the other end so it wasn't wasted

They are quite easy to apply, no drying time is a plus ^-^ these strips bond strongly to your nails and the only way to remove them is by using nail polish remover. The kit comes with a tiny buffer and a cuticle stick, which is great :)

When you are filing away the excess, don't go from side to side or even from one side to the other... instead, file in a downward motion. This will prevent ripping out polish that is already attached to the edge of your nail

This product is quite pricey though, CAN $10.99 at Shoppers (that's like a bottle a O.P.I.) but for a change, it's fun and worth the money

Best Make Up Remover for sensitive skin!!

Few years ago my best friend recommended Bioderma Sensibio H2O to me. This is the best make up remover for sensitive skin! It is extremely popular in Asian right now, I am pretty sure it is a matter of time before all the make up gurus in NA join into the excitement. The Pixiwoo sisters have a 500ml bottle, they love it too! It cleanses your skin, removes oil, dirt and even waterproof makeup. It is very gentle, fragrance free and feels like water.

Soak up a cotton pad, then gently wipe off your make up. For your eyes, just leave the cotton pad there for a few seconds before wiping off. :) Always have to be extra gentle with the skin around your eyes.

If you live in Canada, you can get these in Shoppers or Rexall. I think they only offer the 250ml bottle. Some locations also offer the one that is especially designed for oily skin.

Ingredients: water, peg-6 caprylic/capric glycerides, cucumber extract, mannitol, xylitol, rhamnose, fructooligosaccarides, propylene glycol, disodium EDTA, cetrimonium bromide.

As you can see, I have the 250, 125 and 100ml lol The 250ml was from Shoppers here in Toronto; the 125ml was sent to me from my friend living in Hong Kong and I got the 100ml one from Montreal hahaha ya Im crazy...

So here is the rest of my eraser collection from years ago when I was still in grade school hahah

These are actually very tiny, and I dont know why the teddy bear looks so happy doing homework x.x

Hamsters, of course, I used to have 5 hamsters xD there was a row of hamster cages in the living room

Peter Rabbit <3

That yellow thingy is actually a strawberry lol i lost the pink one very very long time ago. The Hello Kitty ones were the first 'fun' erasers that my mom got me when I was a child

super cheap crappy ones from a dollar store, i think the zebra is quite cute

these look like radio active...

Lime Crime Airborne Unicorn Lipstick

I have a few purple lipsticks, but Lime Crime's Airborne Unicorn is probably the most eye catching one out of my collection.

I ordered my first Lime Crime lipstick from their website and it took a little longer than 2 weeks to arrive. I was very happy when I received my package :) I can see that a lot of thoughts were put into the packaging process. The greenish blue box is adorable, and the lime green wrapping paper contrasts really well with the bright purple lipstick tube. Of course there is the infamous holographic unicorn printed on top

This is more pigmented than MAC Playtime, and it is also brighter with a little bit of neon tone

Airborne Unicorn is a fun shade but unfortunately did not look good on me, I am just someone that cannot pull off pastel or super light color...they really washes me out :o Doe Deere, who owns the company mentioned that she will come up with a dark red color soon, I always have a soft spot for dark reds >:) may be I will give that one a try

The lipstick is pigmented, but not as much as MUFE rouge artist intense or MAC amplified. It is creamy and relatively moisturizing. It is vanilla scented, a bit stronger than MAC lipsticks.

It wears for about 4 hours.. and leaves a pink colored stain on my lips, it is very light though I dont think it is a big problem

The holographic prints on the lipstick itself scratches off really easily. If you want to carry it around, I would advise putting it in a lipstick case to protect it.

Overall, it is a fun addition to my lipstick collection

MUFE Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick #21

Speechless!

This lipstick is drop dead gorgeous! Candy apple metallic red... *-*

I went into Sephora one day searching for a new red lipstick, the entire back of my hand was full of swatches hahaha! In the end I was debating if I should get MUFE #21 or not .. considering the fact that I just got the Moulin Rouge one the week before... gotta have some self control you know >.< But then!! two lady came up beside me, pointed at my #21 swatch and said "That is absolutely gorgeous!!"

Guess what happened a few minutes later ^-^ ... #21 on my lips, lining up at the cash register and feeling guilty about buying another lipstick

The packaging is so sleek! I actually like square-shaped tube better than round ones

The formula is amazing. Intense pigment in a creamy formula that lasts for a very long time, I would say about 6-8 hours.

It doesn't feather/bleed either, just stays where you want it to be.. like a committed boyfriend lol

It has an interesting smell to it :o but doesnt bother me much..

The super tiny gold flecks brighten up my complexion

This shade looks gorgeous in both person and pictures :)

Definitely a keeper

Kat Von D Hellbent Lipstick

Kat Von D Hellbent is the very first red lipstick that I own and it is responsible for my red lipstick craze :)

I absolutely love Kat's make up line <3 she designed her own packaging which is absolutely beautiful, on top of that, she actually wears she own products! I think she actually cares about her products and she's not just doing it for money, unlike other celebs who come up with a berjillion perfumes when they don't even wear them to start with. -.-""

The lipstick bullet is blood red, but when you apply it onto your lips, it is actually a dark raspberry color. Every time I put this lipstick on myself or my friends, we always receive a lot of compliments. ;)

It is very long wearing and leaves a subtle pink stain once it wears off.

The texture is very creamy and it is very pigmented. You can put on a thin layer for a stain effect or load it up for a gorgeous red pout.

There is no nasty lipstick smell to it..only a faint typical lipstick smell

Even though it is long lasting, after about 4-5 hours your lips will get dry. I usually just put some lip balm, blot, and dab on some more

Eraser Collection - very random

I like collecting things, the only reason why my room does not look like a junk yard is because i am very organized. So moving away from perfumes and lipsticks, lets blog about something weird!! My eraser collection!! I lived in Hong Kong for a few years....and you know those asian cutesy stuff that you find in chinatown? HK is loaded with those things, what you see in Chinatown Toronto is nothing compared what you can find in Asia... Im gonna split the collection into three parts cause i like my blogs short and dainty! The first part is about fooooood

Japanese dishes..tempura..sushi...ramen..

American fast food...hot dogs..burgers...

desserts...ice cream and cakes

Fruits and veggie.. orange, peach, banana, eggplant, pineapple, grapes, strawberry

LAVANILA Laboratories - Pure Vanilla Roller-ball (10ml/.32oz) Review

This is my favorite perfume of all time, natural, smell fantastic and it is good for you!
I have always been a perfume lover, I think i have about 20 bottles so far.. but i started to realized that my body does not like perfume at all! A lot of them started to give me headaches and made me sneeze a lot, so i wont be buying anymore perfumes unless it is made out of natural ingredients only. Also i wanted to use natural products as often as i can, even though i know that i cant go 100% natural all the time... o.o"" well lets try for 80% then!

Ok! so this is what you will see on one side of the purrrty box:

   ( )_( )
 =( ^-^ )=
(       )o     I'm a bio major that hates chemistry...I'm so happy that you dont have to be a chemistry major to know whats in this perfume, its very straightforward.

Notes: Madagascar vanilla, Freesia, Patchouli, Heliotrope, Tonka Bean
I know there are other notes in this perfume, but vanilla is the alpha queen here, she lets the other notes open the curtain for her but she does not let them steal her show! If you are a patchouli-phobia, no worries!! i cant smell any patchouli at all, so definitely give this perfume a try!

Lasting power: it is one of the most long lasting perfume i own, easily 6-8 hours

Projection: oh you will smell this baby alright, so dont drown yourself in it for your lab partner or coworkers sakes

A lot of people find that roller-ball leaks easily, but i have been travelling with this baby for an entire school year now, it is still working perfectly! pricing is reasonable too, i think this was about CAN$20

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick - Red Revival #645

The infamous Red Revival! I bought this thinking that i would get the color the model was wearing in the ads, failllled D: It looks nothing like the shade she is wearing, so im a little disappointed! In person this shade is much brighter compared to how it was advertised, but it is still a gorgeous shade afterall.
The pigmentation is fantastic for a drugstore lippie, it is very creamy and easy to apply too. The packaging is alright..cheap clear red plastic with a long cap, but it is so bulky o.o i compared it to a MAC lipstick...

Apparently this shade is supposed to work with a lot of skin tones, and so far it looks pretty on everyone that I've seen. It is quite long wearing and leaves a little bit of stain on your lips after you take it off.
The only problem i have with this lippie is the smell D:!!!! *dies* It smells so bad x.x which means i can never wear it, unless i wanna get a bad headache. It is supposed to smell like coconut if you get a good batch, so every time I go into a drugstore I take a sniff to see if this is true and ... it still gives me a headache >.<

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick - Berry Queen

Berry Queen is a pinkish red color, pretty for a drugstore lippie! It is a bit brighter than Kat Von D's hellbent, which is another favorite of mine
It goes on nicely on the lips and its quite pigmented, the texture is very creamy. For 5 bucks im pretty happy with it! wears for about 4-5 hours for me
It does have a floral scent to it, but doesnt bother me much

MAC Dubonnet Lipstick - Swatch

This is another gorgeous dark red lipstick from MAC, it is an amplified creme so you get loads of color payoff! Out of all the MAC lipstick finishes, my favorite ones are cremesheen and amplified creme. This is a lot darker than Dare You and does not have the shimmer that Dare You has. Since these lipsticks are so creamy, it is always better to use a liner to prevent feathering.. I usually apply a thin layer, blot, then apply another layer.. it really helps the lipstick stay on longer

This will give you an idea of how dark Dubonnet is (from left to right):
  1. MAC Viva Glam Cyndi LE
  2. Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Red Revival
  3. Kat Von D Hellbent
  4. Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Berry Queen #400
  5. MAC Dare You
  6. MAC Dubonnet
  7. Revlon Colorburst Plum

MAC Dare You Lipstick - Quick Swatch

MAC Dare You is one of my favorite lipsticks <3 It has a cremesheen finish, feels very light on the lips. You will have to reapply after a couple hours, but thats fine with me!

It is a deep red brown, more red than brown actually.. with super uber tiny red and gold shimmer... absolutely gorgeous! If you are into dark red lipsticks like me, you should really try this one

I did a quick lip swatch here, i just wanted to show the color so ignore the crappy application lulz! This picture was taken under natural day light:

And here is MAC Dare You (Left) compared to MAC Dubonnet (Middle) and Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Plum, I will post lip swatches of those later on too. This picture was also taken under natural day light, which made them a bit lighter, but the color is still quite accurate

My first post! Green Beauty! Part 1

Hi everyone :) This is my first post and I'm kind of nervous haha! Since I'm a biology major and I try to do my best to conserve the environment, I am really into natural products! I'm not perfect of course, but i believe every little steps count. A bottle of natural shampoo is better than a bottle of synthetic shampoo made up of harsh chemicals :o I bought all these products with my own money, i just wanted to share my experience with these products. I have sensitive combination skin and breakouts from time to time. And here are some of my favorites

1. Organic Black Soap - removes dead skin, heals blemishes, wrinkles, eczema

I got my bottle from Eli's body shop, for this soap you only need a tiny amount each time you use it, like literally one drop! add some water and lather it into a silky foam in your clean hands and massage it into your skin. If you use too much it is going to dry your skin out haha i made that mistake! I dont use it often, may be once a week for a deep cleansing. I find that it makes my skin squeaky clean. I use it for my body too! oh black soap also comes in solid form too

2. Clay Masks - detox, decrease pore size and improve skin tone

The one i'm using is by NOW solutions, i absolutely love clay masks. This one comes in a powder form so you can control how much you want to use, for oily skin it says 1 tsp of clay powder + 1tsp of water. The instruction says leave it on for 15-20 mins, but if you have sensitive skin like mine, i would say 10-15 mins or else your skin is gonna get irritated. This goes for any type of clay masks though :) I use this once a week my skin looks a ton better!

3. Shea butter (pale yellow colored ones) - stretch marks prevention, moisturize

Another product from Eli's body shop haha! I got this with the black soap a year ago. Harsh Canadian winter? Shea butter says no fear! This stuff is goooood, so moisturizing i love it! i only put a thin layer on my cheeks because that is my dry area. I got the pale yellow colored ones cause its the original form, whereas the white colored ones are processed. For the summer time i actually go for aloe vera gel as moisturizer, it is must lighter than shea butter.

4. Natural Lip Balm

I love bees, they are important pollinators for our ecosystems and produce honey and beeswax for us. How can you not love them :) anyhow! I noticed that a lot of natural lip balm contains beeswax, my current favorite is Burt's Bees lip balm with acai berry. The smell reminds me of my childhood for some reason. I wear lipstick everyday, im pretty sure i swallow a good amount of lipstick by now from eating and drinking lol well at least swallowing natural lip balm is not as bad right
